Carbon Farming Initiative (CFI)
Audit reports for projects generating credits under the Carbon Farming Initiative (CFI) LRQA.
climate change, ghg emissions, lrqa, australia,
The Carbon Farming Initiative allows for Australian based land sector initiatives to generate credits (Australian Carbon Credit Units - ACCUs) for use by compliance and voluntary buyers, both here and internationally.
Projects may either result in avoidance of emissions or sequestration of carbon, and typical projects include: reforestation, landfill gas recovery, manure and livestock methane management and soil carbon.
In order to generate credits, proponents must prepare a project report, and most need to be accompanied by an audit report prepared by a registered greenhouse and energy auditor.
LRQA is able to provide an expert audit team with first hand experience in CFI methodologies and international project validation and verification experience (under the Clean Development Mechanism).
LRQA Services
LRQA’s services can range from performing a gap analysis through to project validation (due diligence prior to implementation) and verification / assurance (preparation of an audit report). Public and On-Site training or facilitated workshops are also available to assist in implementation and to ensure that your staff are across the latest CFI developments.
