ISO 14064-1 and ISO 14064-2 became the latest standards to progress to the next stage of the ISO revisions process last week, reaching Committee Draft (CD) stage.
ISO 14064-1 Greenhouse gases -- Part 1: Specification with guidance at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals and ISO 14064-2 Greenhouse gases -- Part 2: Specification with guidance at the project level for quantification, monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emission reductions or removal enhancements will now be open for two months during which time, members involved in their development can vote and make comments on the CD.
During the CD stage, those wishing to contribute to the revision can do so through their ISO national standards body.
The technical committee responsible for the development of these standards, ISO TC 207/SC7 is led by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) members, the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (SAC).
With all the major ISO standards being revised, LRQA is at the forefront of communicating the changes. We offer a range of assessment services as well public and in-house training courses, all aimed at helping to ensure that organisations worldwide have a smooth transition to the new standards.
