AS 9100:2016 - Aviation, Space and Defence

Quality and safety are paramount in the high risk aviation industry. The forthcoming revision of the 9100:2016 Series aims to clarify all requirements and make it easier to use whilst addressing both aerospace industry and stakeholder needs.

AS/NZS 4801

AS/NZS 4801 is a local standard and relates to an occupational health and safety management system.

BRC

The British Retail Consortium (BRC) created the global food standard to establish a single common standard for the evaluation of companies supplying retailer branded food.

CDM

Clean Development Mechanism validation is the independent evaluation of a project activity against the requirements of CDM. It is based on the project's design documentation, in particular the project's baseline, monitoring plan and compliance with relevant UNFCCC and host party criteria, to establish whether tradable credits are generated. In order to register for this scheme, all CDM projects must undergo a validation.

EU ETS

The EU ETS is the largest multi-national regulated emissions trading scheme in the world applicable to more than 14,000 installations and operators throughout Europe.

FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)

FSMA is a regulatory-driven shift from responding to contamination to preventing it. It aims to ensure the US food supply is safe by shifting the focus of federal regulators from responding to contamination to preventing it. FDA FSMA includes preventive controls for Human Food and Animal Food; contains specific requirements for Foreign Food Suppliers and Importers; and identification of Preventive Controls Qualified Individuals just to name a few.

FSSC 22000

FSSC 22000 is a complete certification scheme for food safety management systems. It was initially based on ISO 22000, the global food safety management system standard, ISO 22003 and ISO/TS 22002-1 (formerly PAS 220), a standard developed to address prerequisite program requirements for food product and ingredient manufacturers. The scope of FSSC has now been extended to include prerequisite program requirements for food safety in packaging through PAS 223.
