April 28 2017 marks World Day for Safety and Health at Work. Organised by the International Labour Organization (ILO), their figures show that more than 6 300 people die each day (that’s over 2.3 million a year) as a result of work-related activities, and in total over 300 million accidents occur on the job annually.
Following extensive audits, LRQA has been granted accreditation to both AS 9100:2016 and AS 9120:2016, the quality management system (QMS) standards for organisations in the aerospace industry. Global accreditation was awarded by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). In addition, national accreditation was also awarded to LRQA by COFRAC in France, ENAC in Spain, and ANAB in the USA.
In a recent report from CDP, an international, not-for-profit organisation providing the only global system for companies and cities to measure, manage and disclose vital environmental information, CDP has made a direct call for sustainability to move beyond organisational boundaries into the supply chain.
LRQA has been granted an extension of their automotive accreditation to now include IATF 16949:2016 (Rules 5th ed.), the new international quality management system (QMS) standard for organisations in the automotive industry.
